Satan Mascot

Satan the water buffalo. Served in 4^th Platoon,Company A, 382^nd Infantry Regiment, 96^th Infantry Division. He was found by Private Ova A. Kelley 39141987, who put a binder ring throw his nose, and put a bridle on him. After that he had a dugout canoe for Satan to pull with all the equipment and Ammunition that Company A needed. Satan Served during the Leyte campaign, on December 10, 1944, Private Ova A. Kelley was Killed in Action. After Kelley’s death someone else oversaw taking care of Satan. A few days after Kelley’s death Satan came louse of the knots that tied him up and he walked into the barbwire that had tin cans on it. The men of 4^th Platoon thinking that it was a Japanese attack fired their Machine Guns killing Satan. The following morning the men of 4^th platoon found Satan and realized what had happened.
