Corporal Willie V. Robinson 38112324 US Army. He was born in 1911, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Robinson, of Temple. He attended Heidenheimer School. He entered the US Army on June 30, 1942, around the age of 31. He trained at Camp Ellis, Illinois and Hawaii. He served on Saipan. He was awarded the PTO – PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS Ribbon, with 1 Battle Star, GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, Meritorious, Victory Ribbon and 4 Overseas Bars. Discharged in 1946.
