Electrician’s Mate, First Class HARVEY PEYTON REYNOLDS,

Electrician’s Mate, First Class HARVEY PEYTON REYNOLDS, U. S. Navy. Husband of Mrs. Dorothy Tuite Reynolds, 207 West 77th St., Shreveport Louisiana, and son of Mrs. Nellie Reynolds and the late H. A. Reynolds. He was born January 23, 1923, and enlisted in the United States Navy at San Diego, California, January 18, 1943, at the age of 19. He receiving his boot training at the U. S. Naval Training Center there. He attended Electrical School at Ames, Iowa, and Degaussing School at Norfolk, Virginia, then went to Key West, Florida, for advanced training. He was assigned for duty to the USS Somers DD 381. On April 15, 1945, he embarked for service in the North Atlantic, on convoy duty to England and France. He served in this capacity throughout his term of sea duty. He was honorably discharged at the Naval Personnel Separation Center at New Orleans, Louisiana on December 3, 1945.
