On 9 August 2017 Colonel Frederick C Clinton attended the interment of Colonel Raymond Restani, (Captain, A Company, 254th Infantry Regiment in WWII) in Arlington National Cemetery. He was given a full military honor funeral with two platoons of soldiers, flag bearers, a band, a horse drawn Caisson and a riderless stallion with boots placed in the stirrups backwards. At the interment site, after the Chaplain presented the last rites a squad of Infantrymen gave Colonel Restani three rifle salutes and then a bugler played Taps. All in all it was very impressive and well earned by this long time soldier and our comrade. I am including three photos of the ceremony at his resting place.
