Fireman First Class William Henry Reid US Navy KIA. He is the son of William Reid and Jane Reid of Midvale, Salt Lake County Utah. He was born on January 27, 1919. He served on the USS Vestal, and was aboard the Vestal on December 7, 1941 during the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was killed durring the attack at the age of 22. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal PHM the American Campaign Medal the World War One Victory Medal, the World War Two Victory Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
