Captain CLARENCE EBER RABB 38114686,
Captain CLARENCE EBER RABB 38114686, U. S. Army. The son of Mrs. James Rabb, 2739 Virginia Avenue, Shreveport Louisiana, he was born March 7, 1912. After attending Houston High School and Texas A. and M., he was employed in the Drilling Department of Magnolia Petroleum Company prior to entering the service. Inducted July 27, 1942, at the age of 30. He received his training at Camp Roberts, California; Officer’s Candidate School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and at Camp Livingston, Louisiana, he was assigned to the 138th Field Artillery battalion as Ammunition Training Commander. On December 31, 1943, he embarked for the Pacific area (PTO) where he served at Oahu, New Guinea, and the Philippine Islands, participating in the Southern and Northern Philippines campaigns, and action against the enemy at New Guinea. Captain Rabb has the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. He was honorably discharged November 4, 1945, at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. His wife and daughter, Jimmie Rawls and Lajuana Louise, reside at Vivian, Louisiana.
