Private Albert Leopold Meyer 38664173 was the son of Leo Meyer and Frances Meyer. He grew up in Conway, Arkansas and received his primary education at the St. Joseph Catholic School. After he completed his education, Albert went to work as a salesman for the Wofford Produce Company. Albert married Eleanor Elizabeth Eddy on 7/24/1939 in Conway, Faulkner County, Arkansas. They lived with his parents along with their son Albert, Jr. He joined the US Army on April 6, 1944, at the age of 31. At the time of his enlistment he was 6 feet tall and weighed 155 pounds with grey eyes, black hair. He served in the 4th Infantry Division, 12th Infantry Regiment. He died on December 18, 1944, at the age of 31, during the Battle of the Bulge.
He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal (PHM), The Combat Infantry Badge (CIB) the american campaign medal European theater of operations Medal and the World War Two Victory Medal.
