Storekeeper, First Class Robert Taylor McGregor 6176341, US Navy. He was born April 2, 1903, the son of Philip A. Mcgregor and Susin C. Mcgregor of, Waco Texas, and brother of Chaplain Captain Marshall Thornton McGregor. He was also the husband of Adele Butler of 1717 Ross Ave. Waco Texas, and uncle of Corporal Donald Thornton McGregor, 18214573 POW. Robert graduate from Baylor University. He enlisted in the US Navy, on September 8, 1942, at the age of 39. At the time of his enlistment he was 5 foot 4 inches he weighed 128 pounds he had blue eyes and brown hair. He trained in San Diego. He served in the pacific and Hawaii aboard the USS Oceanographer AGS3. He was awarded the Pacific Theater of Operation Medal, the American Theater of Operations medal, and the World War Two Victory MedalHe was discharged on May 21, 1945, at the age of 42. He died on December 1, 1983, at the age of 80.
