Chaplain Captain Marshall Thornton McGregor,
Chaplain Captain Marshall Thornton McGregor, 1600 Park, Waco Texas. He was born December 6, 1901, in Moody, Texas , the son of Philip A. Mcgregor and Susin C. Mcgregor of, Waco Texas, and brother of SK l/c Robert T. McGregor. Marshall was the husband of Flora Welch, and father of Corporal Donald Thornton McGregor, 18214573 POW. He graduated from Baylor University. Before the war he was a Pastor at First Baptisit Church. He entered the US Army, on October 25, 1942, at the age of 40. At the time he entered the Army he was 5 foot 7 inches he had Blue Eyes and Brown Hair and weighed 157 pounds. He trained at Harvard University. He served as a Chaplain at Camp Claiborne Louisiana, them from December 1943 until May 1944 he served as a Transport Chaplain. He served in England as a Chaplain. He was discharged on March 20, 1946, at the age of 44. He was awarded the the European Theater of Operations Medal, American Theater of Operations medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal. He died on September 6, 1985, at the age of 84.
