Staff Sergeant James Malone 33423920 US Army. He was born on April 7, 1923, in DuBois, Pennsylvania, the son of Anna C, Malone. He married Geraldine Lightbody on February 16, 1942, they lived at 1921 Chapman Street, Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania. He entered the US army on February  2, 1942 at the age of 18. At the time of his enlistment he was 5 foot 10 inches weighed 143 pounds had brown hair and brown eyes. He went overseas on January 20, 1944. He served in Company I, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. On 9 October 1944, he was serving under the command of Lt. Victor Kandle, when Kandle earned the Medal of honor. Malone served in Europe until November 15, 1945. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Star MedalThe American Theater of operations, the European Theater of Operations Medal ETO with 2 battle star, and the World War Two Victory Medal. He died on July 9, 2000, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the age of 77, and was buried in Municipality of Monroeville, Pennsylvania.
