Second Lieutenant Louis Albin Johnson O-412690 KIA, U. S. Army Air Force. The son of Mr. and Mrs. John Albin Johnson of 97 Lister St., Jamestown, New York, he was born September 10, 1913. He received his education at Syracuse University, Louisiana State University and Louisiana College. Prior to entering the Air Force on September 8, 1940, at the age of 26. He served for four years in the U. S. Marine Corps. After his training at Love Field, Randolph Field, and Kelly Field, he embarked for the Pacific Theater (PTO) on June 6, 1941. Assigned to duty first at Clark Field then at Hickam Field in Hawaii, he was killed at Hickam Field one week after war was declared, December 13, 1941. He served in the 28th Bomb Squadron 19th Bomb Group Heavy  The Purple Heart Medal (PHM) was awarded posthumously to his wife about a year after his death. He is survived by his wife, who has since remarried, and one daughter, Ruby Kay Johnson, 3557 Del Rio St., Shreveport, Louisiana.
