LOCATTO, Nicholas A 8141636 US Navy Killed in action April 6, 1945 – Graniteville, New York

Seaman First Class, Nicholas A. Locatto 8141636, US Navy KIA. He was the son of Castandino Locatto, 65 Sumner Ave., Graniteville, New York. He served aboard the USS Newcomb DD-586. On April 6, 1945 off of Okinawa Ryukyus Islands, he was Killed in Action when a kamikaze struck the USS Newcomb DD-586. He was awarded the  Purple Heart Medal,the Asiatic Pacific Theater of operations Medal (PTO), The American Theater of operations Medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal.
