LaVaughn Speer US ARMY WAC. She joined the WACs on March 31, 1943. Before that time, she was a hair stylist at Paramount Studio for 10 years. She has styled the hair of many notable movie stars, and lately Veronica Lake for the picture, "So Proudly We Hail." A brother, Asburn, is overseas. Her sister, Mrs. Laura W. Mentzel, lives in Van Nuys at 4255 Greenbush avenue.
