He entered the US Army on May 21, 1943 in Buffalo New York. He was Killed in Action on November 7, 1944 at Leyte. He served in combat with Medical Detachment, 382nd Infantry Regiment, 96th Infantry Division. He was awarded the Combat Medical Badge (CMB), The Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart Medal, The American Theater of operations Medal, The Asiatic Pacific Theater of operations, World War Two Victory Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Medal.
