Corporal Vincent Joseph Krupka 16024437 US Army Air Force. He was born on January 23, 1911, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of John F Krupka and Victoria A Kaplan. He entered the US Army on February 3, 1942 at the age of 31. At the time of his enlistment he was living and working in Linwood, Portage, Wisconsin. At the time of his enlistment he was 5 Foot 10 Inches tall weighed 195 pounds with Brown hair and Brown Eyes. He served in the Army Air Corps and the Chemical Warfare Service. He went overseas to the Asiatic – Pacific Theater of Operation on November 3, 1942 until January 31, 1944. He was hospitalized for Herniation, nucleus pulposus from October 1943 – April 1944 and this was why he was sent back to the United States. He went back into the Mayo General Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois from June 1944 until November 1944 for Herniation, nucleus pulposus. He served in the 3rd Army Air Force while in the United States. He was awarded The American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal (PTO), The Good Conduct Medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal. He married Bernice Elizabeth Becica Krupka on June 4, 1946 she died on October 14, 1991. He married Lillie S Lueck Krupka on May 8, 1993, in Colorado, Texas. He died on September 29, 2008, in Brenham, Texas, at the age of 97, and was buried in Columbus, Texas.
