Cpl. Montgomery Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Deff Johnson, of Gilmer, Texas. He was the husband of Coba Mae Bowens. He attended Lake Providence School. He entered the Army in 1943, trained at Keesler field, Miss. and Arizona. He served in New Guinea and the Philippines. He was awarded the PTO Ribbon with 3 Battle Stars the Good Conduct Medal and Philippine Lib. Ribbons. He was discharged in 1946.
