T/5 Leonard Jeffery, US Army. He was the son of Willie Jeffery, of Gilmer, Texas. He attended Valley View High School. Entered Army in 1942 trained at Camp Hood. He served in the South West Pacific. He was awarded the PTO Ribbon with 1 Battle Star and Good Conduct Medal. He was discharged in 1946.
