He served in Company K 382^nd infantry Regiment, 96th Infantry Division. He was KILLED IN ACTION ON LEYTE ON NOVEMBER 16, 1944. He was awarded the American Theater Medal, World War Two Victory Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 2 BRONZE BATTLE STARS, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal with BRONZE BATTLE STAR and BRONZE AROWHEAD, PURPLE HEART MEDAL Medal, COMBAT INFANTRYMAN BADGE, BRONZE STAR MEDAL.
