PFC Travis Hays

PFC Travis Hays, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hays, of Gilmer, Texas. He was the husband of Ruthie Walker, he attended Center Point High School. He entered the US Army, in 1943. He trained at Camp Rucker Ala. He served in the ETO. He was awarded the ETO Medal with 5 Battle Stars, the Good Conduct Medal and the Sharpshooter Medals. He was discharged in 1946.
