He entered the service on April 7, 1943, and trained: Camp Wolters, Texas; Fort Benning, Georgia; Camp Howze, Texas; Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. He served with the 95th Infantry Division and went overseas on December 12, 1943. He served in European Theatre fighting in Northern France, Rhineland, Central Germany, Ruhr Pocket. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Occupation Medal, Victory Medal, European Theatre Medal and American Theatre Medal. He returned to United States: July 1, 1945. He was discharged on December 23, 1945 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi after 32 months of service. As of 1947 his occupation was Instructor in Architecture.
