Technician Fourth grade T/4 William F. Greenwald 37576238. Technician Fourth grade Greenwald was a member of the Combat Engineers. He entered the service Aug. 28, 1943, at Ft. Snelling, and was there but a few days before being ordered on to Camp Beale, Calif., for intensive training. He left Seattle July 30, 1944, with the 321st Combat Engineers, 96th Infantry Division, for the Asiatic-Pacific theater, and served, among other places in the Philippines. He was hospitalized for four months in Saipan. Received two bronze battle stars for his campaigns, in addition to the Bronze Star. Honorably discharged Dec. 8, 1945, from Camp McCoy, Wis.
