Private First Class John R. Ellis 38082194

Private First Class John R. Ellis 38082194, US Army. He was born on August 19, 1923, the son of  son of Joseph and Willie Ellis of, Denton Texas, and brother of Private Donnie Leo Ellis. John was educated in Denton. He enlisted in the us army on February 4, 1942, at the age of 18. He served overseas Starting in June, 1942. In 1946 he was still in the Philippines with a group of jungle fighters PTO. He served in the Cannon Company, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25^th Infantry Division. He died on September 27, 1978, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 55.
