Private James T. Downey 36661034 US Army KIA. He was the son of James B Downey of 5127 South Laflin St. Chicago Illinois. He was Killed in Action on October 28, 1944 at Leyte. He served in combat with Medical Detachment, 382nd Infantry Regiment, 96th Infantry Division. He was awarded the Combat Medical Badge (CMB), The Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart Medal, The American Theater of operations Medal, The Asiatic Pacific Theater of operations, World War Two Victory Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Medal.
