Cpl. Wylon Davis

Cpl. Wylon Davis, US Army. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Esau Davia, of Gilmer, and the brother of AS Louis Thomas Davis. Wylon attended Valley View High. Entered Army in 1942, trained at Camp Wolters, Camp Hood, Camp Carson, Camp Bowle. He served in France, Rhineland, Cen. Europe. He was awarded the GC Medal, ETO Ribbon with 3 Bronze Stars, Purple Heart, Victory and Amer. Theater Ribbons. Wounded in Austria, in 1945; He was discharged in 1945.
