Private, JAMES D. DAVIS 14072514, US Army Air Corps, NBD. He was born on October 20, 1923, in Yadkin, North Carolina, the son of Riley and Claudia DAVIS. He was the husband of Mrs. Frances Foster Davis of Kannapolis. He enlisted in the army on January 1, 1942. He was specializing as a bombardier before he was killed in a plane crash on May 12, 1942 at Will Rogers Field, Oklahoma. He died in a non battle death at the age of 18.
