Staff Sergeant BERNARD M. CRAIG 39412786 KIA, U. S. Army Air Forces, He was born November 28, 1924, of Modesto, California, He is the son of Edwin A Craig and Esther E Craig, Modesto, California. He entered service March 26, 1943, in Modesto, at the age of 18. He served overseas in England, Germany, France, with the 410 Bomb Group644th Bomb Squadron. He was awarded the Air Medal Seven Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, one Silver Cluster, the Purple Heart Medal (PHM), and the (ETO) Medal. He was Killed in Action on October 28, 1944 on his 45th Mission, at the age of 19.
