2nd Lieutenant Chester Abraham Cherrington,

2nd Lieutenant Chester Abraham Cherrington, US Army Air Crops. He was born June 22, 1921 ,the son of Chester and Clara Cherrington. Entered the US Army Air Corps in 1943, trained at Phoenix, Arizona , Santa Ana, California, Pecos, Texas and Stockton, California Was commissioned as a a 2nd lieutenant. He served in England with the 406th bomb squadron as a B24 Liberator Pilot. He was killed in Action on  August 19, 1944 in Hereford, Herefordshire, England, at the age of 23, and was buried in Chelsea, Oklahoma. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.
