WT2c ROBERT T. CASSIDY 7099913

Water Tender, Second Class / Seaman 2nd class, Robert Thomas Cassidy 7099913 US Navy Seabees. He was born on September 22, 1922, in New York City, New York. He was the son of James Ambrose Cassidy, and Anne McMahon Cassidy of 507 West 179th Street New York City. He was also the brother of James Cassidy and Mary Cassidy, he was a Catholic. He entered the US Navy on March 31, 1943 at the age of 20 in New York City. He trained at NRS New York, CONST. BATT USNCTC – WIM,VA and trained with the 94TH Naval Construction Battalion in Davisille, R.I. he served in Combat with 1st Platoon Company B, 94TH Naval Construction Battalion on Guam. He was discharge on December 1, 1945. After the war he worked in accounting and finance, for  Keaufort Corp. Flower Fifth Ave Hospital, Westchester Medical Center. He married Marian Diebler on June 17, 1950. He died on April 10, 1986 in Thornwood, New York at the age of 63.
