Sgt. Vincent Monroe Busher, 38068394  US Army. He lived at Rt 2 Box 91 Ballinger Texas. He was born on January 13, 1916 in Winter Texas. He was the son of Henry Franklin “Frank” Busher and Mildred Agnes “Agnes” Scoggins Busher of Rt 3 Winter Texas, and he was the Husband of Margrete Kennedy they marred in Sebastian, Arkansas, on June 9, 1942. Vincent attended Winters High School. In October 1940 he was 6 feet tall weighed 160 pounds had brown hair and brown eyes and was working at Pleasant Hassler Const Co Westmoreland, Imperial, California. He entered the US Army in 1941 and trained in Mo. and Ark. Served in the European Theater with Patton’s Third Army. In Company B, 25th Armored Engineer Battalion. He earned the Bronze Star Medal for heroic service in connection with military operation in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany during the period July 29 1944 – April 10, 1945. He served as a Squad Leader he has displayed outstanding courage, leadership, sound judgment and devotion to duty, under adverse weather conditions and enemy fire of all types. He was discharged on Aug 4, 1945. He lived most of his adult life in California Sgt. Vincent Monroe Busher, died on October 24, 1995, in San Pedro, California, when he was 79 years old.
