Cpl Walter “Ticky” Francis Burke 11141126 US Army Air Force. He was born in Waltham Massachusetts on Feb 18, 1926, the son of Thomas Burke and Julia Brisson Burke. He lived at 78 Chestnut Street Watertown Massachusetts. Cpl Burke entered the US Army Air Corps on March 14, 1944 in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 18. At the time of his enlistment he was 5 foot 8 inches tall he weighed 150 pounds had brown hair and Blue eyes. He served overseas from Aug. 25, 1944 until January 3, 1946 with the Hq Sq 403rd Troop Carrier Group. He served in New Guinea Bismarck Archipelago west pacific. He was discharged on January 18, 1946 at Fort Devens. After the war he married Jeanne Marie Boudreau and become an Accountant and lived at 55 Jackson Road Newton, Massachusetts. He died on May 2, 1987, in Brighton, Massachusetts, at the age of 61
