Private First Class Paul H. Brown 37626662, KIA US Army. He was the son of William B. Brown and Nellie D. Brown, was born near Harris, Mo., January 21, 1909. He graduated in the Class of 1929 from the Harris High School. He marriage Augusta McLin on August 7,1933 after having . In February, 1937 Paul and wife moved to Powersville, Mo., where he became manager of the Farmers Exchange, and where he was still in that position when called into service on October 19, 1943, at the age of 34. Paul was a member of the Baptist church at Harris, Mo., and also of Somerset Lodge A. F. and A. M. at Powersville, Mo. Paul trained at Camp Wolters, Texas. He served in Company L, 119th Infantry, 30th Division. He lost his life in action near Biefield, Germany on April 3, 1945 at the age of 36. He earned the Combat Infantry Badge, 2 Purple Hearts Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, European Theater of Operations Medal. He was Buried in Holland.
