Sgt. Marvin Wayne Brown 38536861, US Army Air Corps KIA. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ruby A. Brown of Dublin, Texas. He was born on July 24, 1925. He graduated from Dublin High School. He entered the Army in 1943; at the age of 18. At the time of his enlistment he was working for Kaiser Co Inc. He was 5 foot 11 inches tall weighed 174 pounds had brown hair and gray eyes. He trained at Sheppard Field, Texas, Dyersburg, Tenn., and Kingman Field, Arizona. He served in England and Germany with the 336th bomber squadron, 95th Bombardment Group, 8th Air Force. Awarded the Purple Heart Medal and a Presidential Unit Citation. Killed over Germany on September 28, 1944 at the age of 19.
