He was born around 1925 and entered the US Army Armored Infantry on April 4, 1942, around the age of 17. He trained at Camp Campbell, Kentucky; Fort Meade, Maryland. He embarkation for the European Theater of Operations on July 5, 1944. He served in England, France, Holland with the 48th Infantry Battalion 7th Armored Division. He was wounded in action on February 1943, when he was shot in leg with Machine gun. He refused a discharge and stayed in the army until he was Killed in Action in Central Holland, on November 3, 1944 around the age of 19. He earned the Purple Heart Medal (PHM) with oak leaf cluster, the European Theater of Operations (ETO), the American Theater Medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal.
