Carpenter Mate 3rd Class (CM3/C) Joe Charles Boggs 8393066, US Navy. Joe was born December 19, 1920, in Plano Texas. He was the son of Harry Cole Boggs, and Maude Groves Boggs. He was the husband of Corinne Lax Boggs.  He marred Corinne Lox on October 4, 1941 and they had 1 son. CM3/C Boggs lived in Richardson Texas and Garland, Texas. He entered the service May 7, 1943, in Dallas, Texas. He enlisted in the Navy, at the age of 22. At the time of his enlistment, he was 6 foot tall weighed 168 pounds had brown hair and gray eyes. He trained at the Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi. C.M. 3/c Boggs served overseas from November, 1944, to December, 1945, in the Asiatic-Pacific. He served aboard the USS Brule Apa 66 He received his discharge on January 4, 1946. After the war he served as a police officer for the Dallas Police department. He died on July 22, 1978, in Garland, Texas, at the age of 57, and was buried in Dallas, Texas.
