Torpedoman’s Mate Third Class, Frederick R. Bockman 8067179 US Navy KIA. He was the son of Arsen Bockman 52 Hinchey St., Berlin, New Hampshire. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1942, at Berlin High School he was the Co-Captain of the Basketball team. He served aboard the USS Newcomb DD-586. On  April 6, 1945 off of Okinawa Ryukyus Islands, he went missing in action / Killed in Action when a kamikaze struck the USS Newcomb DD-586. He was awarded the  Purple Heart Medal,the Asiatic Pacific Theater of operations Medal (PTO), The American Theater of operations Medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal.
