2nd Lieutenant Sylvester “Sonny” M. Beyer O-2006442

2nd Lieutenant Sylvester “Sonny” M. Beyer O2006442  (06830203 enlisted number) US Army KIA. He was born in Winfield Twp Illinois on March 3, 1916, he was a Sergeant in the us army before World War Two. He served in the European theater of operations with the 356th Field Artillery94th Infantry Division, as a Forward Observer. He earned the Silver Star Medal (SSM) and the Purple Heart Medal (PHM)  on March 4, 1945. He died of Wounds received in Action in Germany on March 5, 1945, at the age of 29. He was also awarded the american defense service medal, the American campaign Medal, European theater of operation Medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal.
