He was the son of Jacob Ezra Beverage and Arbelia Frances Beverage, he had two brothers and four sisters. He entrance the service on October 5, 1942. At the time of his enlistment he was 6 feet tall weighed 157 pounds had Blue eyes and Brown hair. He serviced in the 305th Engineer Battalion, 80th Infantry Division. He was Killed in action near Leisy , France, September 16, 1944, at the age of 25. He was buried in Highland, Virginia. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, The Purple Heart Medal, the American Campaign Medal , the Army Presidential Unit Citation  the  Army Good Conduct Medal, and the European Theater of operations Medal.
