1st Lieutenant Merritt C. Barton 18006255

1st Lieutenant Merritt C. Barton 18006255, Born in 1918 the son of J. A. Barton and the late Mrs. J. A. Barton, Denton Texas. He attended NTSTC UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS UNT. His wife is the former Nito Hinds, Abilene Texas. He entered the Army Air Force in 1940, around the age of 22. He went overseas in 1943 to Pacific area PTO as pilot on a B 24. He holds the Presidential Unit Citation for raid aver Truk and Air Medal with 7 Oak Leaf Clusters. He returned to States in 1944. Stationed at Fort Myers, Florida.
