1st Sgt. William Grady Bane 38147272, US Army. He was born on June 17, 1911 in Dallas Texas. He was the son of Joseph “Joe” Bane, and Linnie Crabb Bane, of 145 Rowlett Rd, Dallas, TX, and the brother of T/5 Robert M. Bane, of Garland Texas. Grady graduated from Woodall Wilson High School in Dallas Texas he took ROTC in High School. Grady was the husband of Louise Brockney and his son Dr. Robert K. Bane. Grady entered the US Army on March 21, 1942 at the age of 30. He served in the 104th Infantry Division. He was discharge on October 2, 1945. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Star Medal with V and 1 Oak Leaf cluster, the Good Conduct Medal, The American Theater of operations Medal, the European Theater of Operations Medal ETO with 3 battle stars, the World War Two Victory Medal, and the Army of Occupation Medal.
He died on February 4, 1970 at the age of 58. He is buried at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Denton, Texas.
