Private First Class James J. Austin, 

Private First Class James J. Austin, Marine Corps USMC. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Austin, of Graham, Texas. He attended Graham High School. He was the husband of Monterey Rice. He entered the Marines, in 1944, and trained in SOUTH CAROLINA, NORTH CAROLINA, and in Hawaii. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theater of operation Medal (PTO), the American Theater of operation Medal, and The World War Two Victory Medal.
