T/5 Alonza Lee Alexander, US Army. He was the son of Mrs. Mary Alexander, of Taylor Texas. He attended Blackshear High School. He  entered the Army in, 1939, he trained at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. Served in Papaun, East Indies, New Guinea. He was awarded American Defense Medal, The American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal (PTO), The Good Conduct Medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal and the Philippine liberation medal, he was discharged in 1945.
