Sergeant Dewey A. Adams

Sergeant Dewey A. Adams, US Army. He was the son of Mrs. L. Z. Adams, Olney, and husband of Iris Lucas. He attended Archer City High. Entered Army, 1942, trained at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Camp Bowie, Texas and Camp Bullis, Texas. Served in Iceland, England, Normandy, France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany. Awarded the Silver Star Medal, European Theater of operation Medal (ETO), with 3 Battle Stars and Invasion Arrowhead and the World War Two Victory Medal. Discharged in 1945.
