2ND LIEUTENANT LOWELL EUGENE KINNEY, O661848

2ND LIEUTENANT LOWELL EUGENE KINNEY, O-661848 US Army Air Corps KIA. He was born March 28, 1920. He is the son of Howard A Kinney and Selina Kinney of Celina, Texas. He volunteered for service November 10, 1941, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 21. He trained at Goodfellow Field, San Angelo, Twin Engine School, Lubbock, and Camp Harmon, Ballinger, Texas. He served overseas September, 1942, to November, 1942, in European Theater. He served with the 423rd Bomber Squadron, 306th Bomber Group. He was Killed in Acton on November 9, 1942, in St. Nazaire, France, at the age of 22. He was awarded Purple Heart, Medal (PHM) the American Defense the European Theater (ETO) Medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal. He is the brother of Staff SERGEANT RAYMOND WOODROW KINNEY, PRIVATE FIRST CLASS PAUL EDWARD KINNEY, T/SERGEANT WALLACE HAROLD KINNEY.
