Radioman, First Class HORACE C. PRINGLE, JR,

Radioman, First Class HORACE C. PRINGLE, JR, U. S. Coast Guard. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace C. Pringle, he was born July 19, 1925, and attended Natchitoches High School at Natchitoches and Bolton High School. He was employed by the U. S. Post Office at Alexandria when he entered the Coast Guard on October 30, 1943, at the age of 18. From the Coast Guard Training Station at St. Augustine, Florida, he went to Coast Guard Radio Operator’s School, Atlantic City, New Jersey, the U. S. Coast Guard Training Station in New York City, and Navy Radio School, Miami, Florida With the USS Woonsocket P F-32. He embarked October 26, 1944, and served to June 20, 1946, on convoy duty, submarine patrol duty, and air-sea rescue duty in the North Atlantic Ocean, Radioman First Class Pringle has the American Theater of Operations Ribbon and the European African Middle Eastern Theater of Operations (ETO) Ribbons. He was discharged June 25, 1946.
