Major WARREN F. PENDLETON

Major WARREN F. PENDLETON, U. S. Army. He is the husband of Zula Shelton Pendleton, and father of Susan Elaine, of 817 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana. He was born July 8, 1921, and attended Mansfield Grade and High Schools, and Texas A & M. Inducted May 17, 1942, at Camp Wolters, at the age of 20. He received his training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Camp McCoy, Wisconsin, and he was then assigned to the 250th Engineers Combat Battalion. On August 26, 1944, he embarked for the European Theater where he served as Company Commander and as Executive Officer, in England, France, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. Major Pendleton participated in the Rhineland and Central Europe campaigns. He has the Europe Africa Middle East Theater of Operations (ETO) Ribbon with one bronze star, the American Theater of Operations Ribbon, and the World War Two Victory Medal. He was honorably discharged at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, May 14, 1946. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyatt F. Pendleton, 817 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana.
