MELVIN J. BENNING

T/5 Melvin J. Benning US Army. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Benning, of San Antonio Texas. He was the husband of Rosa Lee Gibson, attended Douglass High School in San Antonio. He entered the US Army in 1943, and trained in Ala., Ky. and Ga. He served in France, Germany and Phil. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal the AT Medal the ETO Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, and Victory Ribbons He was discharged in 1946.
