ENSIGN BONNIE JEAN CAROLINE

ENSIGN BONNIE JEAN CAROLINE US Navy WAVE. She entered Navy nursing May 31, 1944, at Great Lakes, Ill., and served chiefly at the Naval Hospital at Corona, Calif . Ensign Caroline graduated from nurses’ training at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, studied at St. Theresa’s Hospital in Winona for two years before going into nursing. She was working at the Rochester Hospital at the time she decided to offer her services to Uncle Sam. Discharged in the spring of 1946 at San Diego, the former ensign liked her Corona station so well she elected to station herself there permanently. She accepted a position in a private hospital there, as a surgical nurse.
