LT. Commander Alice M. Anderson WAVE

LT. Commander Alice M. Anderson US Navy WAVE. He entered the service on June 2, 1942, at Great Lakes Ill. She was sent to Naval Hospital at Seattle, Wash., then overseas in March, 1945, from San Francisco to Hawaii. Stationed with Naval Hospital No. 29 at Hawaii. Returned to U. S. in November 1945, and re-assigned to Great Lakes, then to Jacksonville, Fla. At Jacksonville Lt. Anderson taught nursing to corpsmen. She received her promotion to Lieutenant Commander in September, 1946. She is a graduate Of the high school of Albert City, Ia., and studied for two years at Augustana College, Rock Island, Ill. Took her nurses’ training at Swedish Hospital.
