S/SGT. Donald T. Vraneh

S/SGT. Donald T. Vraneh US Army. He entered the Service Sept. 30, 1942, at Fort Snelling and served in the Signal Corps. Trained at Camp Adair, Ore., Fort Lewis, Wash., Camp White, Ore., and San Luis Obispo, Calif. He shipped overseas July 25, 1944, from San Francisco, with the 96th Signal Company, 96th Infantry Division. He served in the Asiatic-Pacific theater, fought in the Leyte, Philippine Islands and Okinawa campaigns. Awarded Asiatic Pacific ribbon with two battle stars on June 29, 1945, and the Philippine Liberation ribbon with two stars on Feb. 1, 1945. Honorably discharged Mar. 23, 1946, at Camp McCoy. In 1979 he was living in Montevideo Minn.
