1st Lt. James Dudley Baines

1st Lt. James Dudley Baines Enlisted service number 38535278 (Officer service number unknown) US Army Air Corps. He was was born on October 5, 1925, in Dallas, Texas, the son of James Floyd Baines and Gladys Doris Case Baines of 5430 Worth Street Dallas Texas. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas Texas in 1943. At Woodrow Wilson High School he served as a Major in the ROTC, he Played football, was the President of the Student Council, served as a Business Manager, the Vice President of the 4-A Class, he was a member of National Honor Society, Library Council, Linz Pins, and Popularity Contest Winner. He entered the US Army on November 21, 1943 at the age of 18. At the time of his enlistment he was 5 foot 6 1/2 inches tall weighed 145 pounds had Black hair and brown eyes. He was discharged on March 21, 1947. He was married to Pauline Baines, he had one son and one daughter with Pauline Baines. James died on March 27, 1985, in Dallas Texas at the age of 59, and was buried there. After his death Pauline moved to Garland Texas.
